Forts and Felines: Delights of India tour and Safari
Discover India’s rich cultural heritage and explore the spectacular Taj Mahal before taking a safari to discover the elusive tiger.
India is a country rich in culture, wildlife and diversity. From the grand scenery of the Himalayas to the coconut plantations on the Arabian Sea.
Literacy in India is around 80%, in such a populated country this mean that over 2,500,000 people are unable to read and write. To overcome this, education is free from the age of 6 to 14 years. Yet in many areas this means schools are very basic with little or no access to teaching aids and materials. This is where your group can make a valued difference.
Creating a positive and engaging school environment will help to unlock the imagination and learning potential of pupils. Your group will work with the community to enhance school facilities and provide inspiration for future generations. Project tasks include reimagining classroom areas and your group may also be involved in helping to develop recreational facilities to inspire play based learning.
